Starting This Journey

What a ride starting a business is! After years of this idea being in the works, collecting data, trying new ingredients, perfecting recipes, Laura’s was launched January 1, 2021.

This year is one of new hope. With so much going on in the world and the train wreck of 2020, I want this year to be one of hope and happiness. We all need a little bit of joy and pleasure in our lives. A big part of that joy for me is food.

I love food - baking, cooking, hosting - it really does not matter what I am doing. Food is the glue that brings families, communities, and the world together to share, to experience, and to love. Food is even more important now when we cannot be together. Small tokens, delicious treats, or family traditions all can bring us together in a world apart. Just one bite helps transport us to moments of happiness and togetherness.
